How To Troubleshoot The Touch Screen Issues On Your Lenovo Laptop?

It may happen that your touch screen may not work properly on your Lenovo laptop or it may not work at all resulting in an almost dead laptop or a partial functionality of the laptop. We understand the problem thoroughly, so here we have provided you with few tips to get rescued from the hurdle.

  • Examine the condition of your screen after turning off the computer.

  • Remove the dust and dirt particles using a microfiber brush.

  • Use a proper cleaning kit to clean the display of your screen.

  • Spray it using a cleaning cloth as cleaning solution should never be sprayed directly on the screen.

  • In a circular motion wipe the screen.

  • Dry the screen out before turning back on as moisture may damage your screen.

  • A screen protector may also prevent the touch sensor to work properly and may need to be taken off.

  • Turn off and then restart the device.

If the above steps do not work then it may need the touchscreen to calibrate. Attempt the following steps:

  1. Open the search box and enter calibrate.

  2. Go to calibrate the screen for pen or touch input from the enlisted programs.

  3. Press the calibrate option.

  4. Touch the crosshair that is on the screen when it moves each time, this will be asked of you to do.

  5. Save the calibration data by pressing yes.

  6. Press OK to complete it.

It may also be the case if you have 2 in 1 laptop, the settings may cause the touchscreen to not respond. You will have to change the settings in such case.
